THE FOUR 2010 ONLY MBs -
Signaling-
Scouts must have a reasonably familiarity w/ the Morse Code and Semaphore (5hr to 10hr practice recommended). We will make an LED blinker in class and cover the other requirements but sending and receiving code (yes, you can refer to hard copy sheets) at a specific rate (7 words per minute is not easy) is the heart of the MB. We have arraged for a free copy of MRX's Morse Code Software for your Scouts to get up to speed... go to: http://www.mrx.com.au/ and click on the download page, and then download MRX Morse Code and the install instructions. We have a reg code for you if you want the program for more than 30 days... Thanks to the inventor John Samin!!! This program has what it takes to get you sending and receiving morse code -- highly recommended (See contacts and Email Brian if you have need of the reg code or other questions) PRACTICE!!!
Tracking -
Scouts need to take pictures of 10 wild animals (more details later). We will have a sand pit and feeding station for tracking and plaster casts.

Scouts should bring a phone book w/ map (showing the area three miles around their home) and be able to name the types and #s of animals on the farms with in 3 miles of home (we are not making this up).
